Hi, I’m Sophie – Six and Flow’s part time marketing executive! Rich gave me the chance to work with them one day a week, so I can get some well-needed experience in the agency world. With them being a HubSpot gold partner, I knew this wasn’t an opportunity to turn down.

Coming from the Juice Academy, a Manchester-based social media apprenticeship scheme, I’ve worked in the recruitment industry since the start of my professional career. I love this world, it’s one I’m familiar with and understand. However, during this time I’ve also learnt the operations of agencies – and discovered that’s the path I eventually wanted to take.

Working with Six & Flow

Six and Flow is a HubSpot gold agency that has grown rapidly over the past year, has some of the best office banter going, and has given me the opportunity to work within the industry I so desperately want to get into.

Not only can they help me gain more experience to eventually take into another agency in the future. The things I learn can also be implemented into the strategies I currently have in place for my job at Bespoke Retainment Group.

My experience here has been great, to say the least. I came into this job wary about my ability, worried I couldn’t perform to a standard that Six and Flow needed in order to continue on their ridiculously successful path. But, within the first few hours of my first day, I knew I didn’t need to fear these things.

They truly want to help me gain knowledge and experience in a sector I’ve never worked in, so I can implement it in my current role and eventually take it on to another position. As a HubSpot gold partner, they have also given me the chance to study for the HubSpot Inbound Marketing certification – something that will definitely help me in the future.

Agency life

Working for a HubSpot gold agency is great, I learn so much from seeing them tackle and deal with scenarios I’ve never come across in my own career. Being a marketing executive for a recruitment company (although I love them!) is so different.

Normally, Bespoke are at the forefront of my mind, as they are the only business I have to worry about. This means one tone of voice, one content plan and a true understanding of what the company does.

Coming into Six and Flow, my perspective is completely different. I get the chance to work on many different clients across various industries, writing blogs and tweets for each one using different styles.

I enjoy every Thursday that I spend with Six and Flow. Each and every one of them is happy to spend time with me going over certain aspects of their strategies that I don’t fully understand, or have never dealt with before. I know I’m in great hands with them, and I can ask any question – no matter how stupid.

Also – their banter. Probably some of the best in the business!
