Chatbot marketing increases overall lead volume and sales over just 6 months

The Challenge

In the summer of 2017, we proposed a ChatBot implementation to a long-standing client with an aim to bolster their existing lead generation campaign. After a successful implementation, we began to involve the sales team in the ChatBot process. Initial resistance to the change quickly vanished as we introduced them to the ease of access and flexibility offered by the bot across multiple devices and time periods.

Within the first month of implementation, the sales team was reporting back on the great quality of the ChatBot leads and the engaged conversations they were having with potential customers.

Over a 6 month period, sales directly attributed to ChatBot activity have been completing 10% faster than static submissions. The lead to customer conversion from chat was 45% higher than static submissions, and overall volume increased by 13.06%. This led to a 16% increase in sales. By all accounts, the ChatBot integration has been a success.

The problem with traditional online experiences

A study of 1000+ 18-64 year olds found that the most common frustrations people have with websites are difficult navigation, problems finding simple answers and problems locating basic details.

Today’s consumers have done their research about products before they hit your site. They don’t need a pitch, they just need your help. ChatBots can provide the answers they need instead of a sales pitch.
